On January 6, 2002 we met to discuss Skipping Christmas a book we read in December. It was a short happy book by John Grisham. The members also went to see the movie. It was great.

Meeting December 2002
We met December 2, 2002 to discuss Memoirs of a Geisha. Hosted by Teresa. Our hostess also brought Sushi for us to try. It was great how she matched our book theme with her snack for the event.

The book for November 4, 2002 A Widow for One Year by John Irving. We were going to read this book but the club member who chose it dropped out of book club so we went to a movie instead.

I can tell a long story of this book. It was the first book club book for me to host. I really wanted to choose a great book. I used a reading guide for book clubs and this book was listed in the top three. Well let me tell you it would not receive a very high rating from me. It was terrible and I couldn't even understand it and it was my book. Please check out this book and let me know what you think. Many others have. Look it up it has great reviews. Just not by me.
